Amy Sims became Wolves Women’s first new addition of summer 2025 when she switched to Dan McNamara’s side from Nottingham Forest.
The midfielder, who captained childhood club Derby County before moving to the City Ground ahead of the 2024/25 season, has versatility and a wealth of experience in the Women’s National League which she has added to Wolves.
Having come through the Rams’ women’s academy, Sims played in various positions across the pitch before making the move from right back to attacking midfield during the 2022/23 season.
Over the next two campaigns, she would go on to score 40 goals, while also claiming the Northern Premier Division’s Golden Boot award in 2023 and netting the winner in Derby’s FAWNL Plate final triumph the following year.
Sims has been part of several opposition teams to have gone up against Wolves in the past, including featuring in Forest’s crucial victory over the Old Gold at Telford’s SEAH Stadium during the 2024/25 campaign which proved to be the difference between the title-chasing sides.
