Academy graduate Dexter Lembikisa was embedded into the first-team squad at Molineux after impressing during the 2022/23 season.
The full-back joined Wolves as a 13-year-old and his work ethic and attitude of embracing every challenge in his path has seen him progress through the ranks of the academy to become a Premier League player in gold and black.
But his development has blossomed during the 2021/22 season, which saw Lembikisa quickly progress from the under-18s to the under-21s, before his first senior opportunity came under his former academy coach Steve Davis during late 2022.
Davis rewarded Lembikisa with his first appearance for Wolves in the Carabao Cup victory over Leeds United at Molineux before his Premier League bow arrived just three days later against then-league leaders Arsenal.
The right-back maintained his position in the squad after Julen Lopetegui took on the reins, with the Spaniard handing Lembikisa his first senior start in gold and black in the FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool in January 2023.
With six first-team appearances to his name, Lembikisa has since developed on loan, having spent the 2023/24 season competing in the Championship with Rotherham United, where he scored his first goal in senior football, before moving north of the boarder to join Scottish Premiership side Hearts.
The right-back joined Swiss Super League side Yverdon Sport on a season-long loan in the summer of 2024.
Dexter Lembikisa has also become a full international in recent years and is now a regular in the Jamaican national team.
Born in London to a Congolese father and a Jamaican mother, Lembikisa first turned out for Jamaica at the CONCACAF U20 Championships in 2022, before debuting for the senior team in a 1-0 loss to Trinidad and Tobago in March 2023.
He has since played 20 times for his country, including representing Jamaica and a major tournament, in the 2024 Copa America over in the USA.
