Women set for Molineux return

The Women’s Black Country Derby is set to return to Molineux Stadium in just 12 days’ time, as Wolves Women take on local rivals West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, 29th March (3pm kick-off).

One of the most anticipated fixtures of the Wolves football calendar, the derby promises to be another thrilling afternoon of women’s football in the West Midlands as the two fierce Black Country rivals battle it out in front of what is hoped to be a large crowd. With no men's first team action at Molineux until 25th April, the club are calling on members of the Pack to get behind Dan McNamara's side.

With only five games remaining in the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division season, every point is crucial. Wolves Women currently find themselves in a strong position in the table and remain firmly in the hunt for at least a play-off place. As the campaign reaches its decisive stages, the support of the fans could make a significant difference for McNamara and his squad as they push towards WSL2 football for the very first time in their history.

The Old Gold women will be returning to the golden palace for the first time since March last year, when they produced a memorable performance by demolishing their local rivals 5–0. On that occasion, more than 2,000 supporters were in attendance to witness a dominant Wolves display.
