Wolves Women face their longest trip of the season on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Middlesbrough looking to close the gap on league leaders Burnley.
One of the Old Gold’s games in hand, the fixture at Stockton Town will be an opportunity to extend their league winning run to 13 matches.
Setting the Scene
Wolves put in one of their best performances of the season on Sunday as they dispatched Hull City 5-0 at the SEAH Stadium thanks to two goals from Amber Hughes and one each from Charlotte Greengrass, Racheal Quigley and Louanne Worsey. Add to that a superb 3-0 win at Sporting Khalsa the Wednesday prior, it was a positive week all round for Dan McNamara’s side.
A side who are strong on their own turf, Middlesbrough suffered a rare home defeat on Sunday as they were beaten 2-1 by Stoke City, but did secure a 3-2 win away at Halifax in their midweek fixture.
