Hiscox | 'I have loved every minute of it'

Amelia Hiscox admitted that she was overjoyed after making her full debut for Wolves Women on Sunday afternoon.

Youngster Hiscox was rewarded with her first start for the Old Gold in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup victory at Asfordby Amateurs and Hiscox shared post-match that she loved every minute of it.

Wolves put seven past Asforby to progress into the second round and Hiscox contributed well to her side’s dominance, which now sets up a home tie against Sporting Khalsa later this month.

On the confident win

“I think we played and moved the ball very well and had good possession of it.

“I just think we need to improve on the score line and get some more goals as we had so many chances and could’ve had such a higher score line.”

On her first start this season

“I really enjoyed it; I think I kept everything calm and simple and didn’t overdo it too much.

“It’s not really about me, I’m just happy that we got the win and that we are through to the next round.”

On winning by such big scorelines

“It’s great, I think it shows what we’re capable of and that we can score.

“However, when you see the stats, I think we will see that we need to score more from the number of chances and attempts that we had.”

On being around the first team and getting these opportunities

“I have loved every minute of it. I feel the difference in myself after being with the older girls.

“But, being with them is improving me every day and the team, and I think it showed today.”

On her hopes for the rest of the FA Cup run

“We want to just go as far as we can. It’s only the beginning.

“I know we are going to play some lower league teams, but you take every game as they come and don’t go in with any fears or hesitations, have the mindset to win.”

On preparing for Liverpool Feds

“We will go into training and will go over the review and look at anything that we might need to work on.

“We’ll just get our heads down ready for next week as it is an important game, and we want the three points.”
