Women's preview | Stoke vs Wolves

Wolves Women are aiming for three successive victories when they travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.

For the second away game in a row, Dan McNamara’s side are in action on a main stadium pitch having beaten Burnley at Turf Moor two weeks ago.

The Old Gold followed up that victory with all three points last week following a 4-0 success over Hull City at the SEAH Stadium.

Wolves have bounced back well from defeat to Nottingham Forest with their two victories, which has left them third in the table and just a point off the top.

Hosts Stoke City have had a mixed start to the campaign with two wins and two defeats from their opening four league games.

However, the Potters have already beaten Wolves this season after winning 3-1 in the FAWNL Cup determining round at the end of last month.

Last season, Stoke took all three points from this fixture as Jade Cross’ late goal wasn’t quite enough to salvage a point as the 10-player Old Gold were beaten 2-1.
