Wolves Women will host either AFC Fylde or Chorley in the first round of the FAWNL Plate.
The draw for the first round took place on Wednesday and paired Dan McNamara’s side against one of the sides from the northwest, with the clash due to take place on Sunday 29th September, at a venue to be confirmed.
Recently relegated Fylde are now in Division One North alongside Chorley, and have accrued four points from their opening four matches of the new season, while the team from Lancashire are currently sat third in the table thanks to their three wins to start the campaign, but are just one point behind leaders Middlesbrough.
The two sides will go head-to-head in the preliminary round this Sunday (15th September) to decide who will travel to the Black Country.
Wolves also have three wins from their opening four league matches in the Northern Premier Division but dropped into the plate competition – which includes several WSL and Championship academy sides – after their recent defeat to Stoke City in the FAWNL Cup determining round.
Venue and ticket information for the first round tie will be announced in due course.
