James Collins has left his position as Wolves under-21s head coach to pursue other career opportunities.
Collins joined the club in January 2020 and played a key role within the Academy structure, overseeing the club’s under-21 side and supporting the development of a number of young players as they progressed through the pathway towards senior football.
During his time at the club, he made a significant contribution to the club’s player development programme, helping to create an environment that enabled players to maximise their potential on and off the pitch.
On his departure, Collins said: “It has been a privilege to work with the coaches, staff and especially all the players during my time at the football club.
“I’m proud of everything we have achieved over my time in the Academy, and I wish the club continued and sustained success in the future.”
Academy director Jonathan Hunter-Barrett said: “I’d like to thank James for his commitment and professionalism during his time at Wolves.
“He has worked with a number of our young players throughout his six-and-a-half years at the club and has played a role in their development both on and off the pitch.
“On behalf of everyone at Wolves, I’d like to thank James for his efforts and wish him all the very best for the future.”
