Palace trip awaits in the International Cup

Wolves under-21s have been drawn to face last season’s finalists Crystal Palace away from home in the quarter-final of the Premier League International Cup.

James Collins’ side will travel to go head-to-head with the Eagles at Sutton United’s VBS Community Stadium on Monday 26th February, 7pm.

The Old Gold are appearing in the knockout stages of the competition for the very first time having topped Group A with 10 points from a possible 12.

Victories over PSV Eindhoven, Sparta Prague and Nice gave Wolves a 100% record going into their final game with Hertha Berlin, which ended in a goalless draw during which Collins’ youngsters played the majority of the game with 10 men.

Meanwhile, Palace’s record of eight points from four Group C fixtures ensured their progression into the knockouts as a best third placed team.

Two wins and two draws maintained an unbeaten record for the Eagles who were runners up to PSV in the final at Selhurst Park last season.
