Jackson Tchatchoua believes if Wolves can get off to a positive start under new boss Rob Edwards against Crystal Palace this weekend, then they can quickly begin to turn their season around.
The full-back returned to Compton Park from international duty on Monday after Cameroon fell short in their World Cup qualification play-off, but it has meant he could spend more time working under Edwards ahead of the crucial match at Molineux on Saturday.
Although Wolves are without a win in the Premier League so far this season, Tchatchoua feels that one win is all it takes to get the cogs in motion and build a momentum which could prove vital in the team’s survival hopes.
On changing the situation
“There is a new energy around the team and around the club, and I think the team also need this at this moment.
“The situation is not easy for all of the people working for the club, not just for the players, but for all the people working for this club, and also for the fans, so everybody wants to change this situation as fast as possible.”

On what Edwards is demanding from the group
“The coach said he wants us to put more intensity into the match, more duals, and more running together. When one person loses the ball, everybody should want to get the ball back for him.
“But I think it's all in the little details, but add one by one, they will make a big difference. If we can do this in the matches and make these little changes, as well as have a more luck with us because we’ve had a little bit of bad luck in certain moments this moment, then the positive energy will come to us.”
On needing to pull together
“For us as a team, I think we can sometimes be more together on the pitch, because at the beginning of this season, you’ve seen that sometimes we’ve lost the matches in the last minute or in the last 10 minutes, and I think we need to be together more and focus until the last minute.
“The Premier League is a very tough championship, but I think we all have the quality to play well in this championship. The results have not been what I wanted with the team but I feel we can do something good in this championship.”

On keeping the spirits high
“Personally, I think the spirit of this group is very nice. We have different players of different ages, different nationalities and I think the group is nice and has a good mix.
“At this moment, the situation is not easy, but you need to find something good for us to stay positive, because it’s important to be positive.
“The season is long and there are still a lot of points to take, so this is not the moment to lose confidence.”
On importance of three points this weekend
“Everybody knows this match is very important for the team. I think it can change the season for us because after one victory, the spirit, the confidence, all these things can be with us.
“This match is very important and everybody know this and we all work very hard this week to be ready for this match.
“It’s like a domino effect. We know that if we win one, then we can keep adding more and more victories with time.”
