Chiquinho makes Wolves exit

Chiquinho has left Wolves on a permanent basis, joining Portuguese side FC Alverca.

The winger signed for the Old Gold in January 2022 and made 11 appearances for the club, primarily during the early stages of his time at Molineux.

Having debuted on his 22nd birthday against Norwich City just weeks after signing, Chiquinho’s Premier League bow came against Arsenal in the same month under then head coach Bruno Lage.

The Portuguese played nine times during the second half of the 2021/22 campaign, claiming three assists, including the cross for Conor Coady’s memorable late equaliser at Chelsea in the May.

Unfortunately, a serious knee injury picked up the next pre-season ruined his following campaign, while 2023/24 was spent out on loan at Stoke City and then Famalicao.

Last season the attacker featured at Arsenal on the opening day, and in a Carabao Cup victory over Burnley, which proved to be his final game for the club, having moved on loan to RCD Mallorca soon after.

Now, the 25-year-old makes a permanent move back to his home nation and all at Wolves wish him the best of luck in the future.
