Toti believes nothing can stop Wolves from extending their best ever winning run in the Premier League as confidence within Vitor Pereira’s squad is currently sky high.
The Old Gold secured a fourth consecutive top flight win for the first time since 1972 when they put four past Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux, thanks to goals from Rayan Ait-Nouri, Jorgen Strand Larsen and the returning Matheus Cunha – the latter two coming moments after Wolves had conceded, which the defender feels shows the character in the squad.
And ahead of a trip to Old Trafford on Sunday to take on a struggling Manchester United side, Toti insists the Wolves players are confident they can keep up their impressive recent record – especially having already experienced three points against the Red Devils earlier this season.
On creating Premier League history
“It’s amazing. It’s an amazing feeling and it’s good to conquer this – four wins in a row. It’s not easy in the Premier League and it is the first time for us.
“But this is just the work that we’ve been doing on the training ground, the believing, and it’s what the coach has been asking us to do. We've been believing and we did a great result today again.”

On the character of the squad
“It’s all about the team spirit. Even when we suffered one goal, you saw that we didn’t let it affect us and we went back, we kept fighting, and we scored again. They scored and straight after, we scored again.
“It’s all about believing and we’ve been working hard and facing them in the eyes. We know they are a big team and a strong team, but we know we are a strong team too and a big team, and we just believe in ourselves as well.”
On Strand Larsen and Cunha adding to their tallies
“I’m happy for them. Jorgen keeps scoring, he’s in a good strike and he keeps fighting, and very happy for Cunha too.
“It was his first game back since the suspension and coming back and scoring a goal in front of the fan, there is nothing better, so I’m happy for him and for Jorgen as well.”
On digging in for the three points
“There was no clean sheet, but sometimes the game is like this. We keep scoring, and scoring at the end is important, because it was important to leave here with the three points, and that’s what we did.
“We made the fans happy and the gaffer happy because we did the plan that he asked us to do.”
On taking confidence to Old Trafford
“We just need to keep believing. Man United is a big team, we know that, and we need to respect them, but we also need to go there and know what we can do and what we are capable to do.
“We did that before here when we played at home, we beat them, so why not do it again?”
