Jose Sa is one of 11 Wolves players who have joined up with their national team for the November international period.
The goalkeeper – who has been a regular in the Portugal squad since his move to Molineux back in 2021 – had missed out on a call-up for the October internationals but his form between the sticks for Wolves during the last month has seen the 31-year-old return to the fold.
Sa is joined in Roberto Martinez’s squad by club teammate Nelson Semedo, fresh off picking up Wolves’ SUDU Player of the Month award for October.
The pair will hope to be involved in Portugal’s UEFA Nations League matches against Poland in Porto and away in Croatia as the team look to top League A Group 1.
Also away in Europe for Nations League matches is Jorgen Strand Larsen, who is back with Norway for their clashes against Slovenia on Thursday and Kazakhstan on Sunday.
Closer to home and Matt Doherty and Tom King are also with Republic of Ireland and Wales respectively, with Ireland set to play Finland in Dublin before taking on England at Wembley, while Wales are away in Turkey before returning home to Iceland next Tuesday.
Africa Cup of Nations qualifying ties also return this month, with Rayan Ait-Nouri linking up with Algeria ahead of their matches against Equatorial Guinea and Liberia.
Captain Mario Lemina, who has also worn the armband for Gabon in recent months, will be hoping to lead his country out against Morocco and Central African Republic.
Over in South America, Andre is with Brazil and Santi Bueno is with Uruguay as their countries go head-to-head for a spot at the 2026 World Cup next Tuesday. The pair will also hope to be involved with the other qualifying matches this week as Brazil head to Venezuela, and Uruguay face Colombia.
As for the under-21s, both Rodrigo Gomes and Carlos Forbs are in the Portugal squad and they have Euro qualifying matches against Ukraine and Slovakia ahead of them.
