Sarabia | 'We have to compete at the same level whether away or home'

Pablo Sarabia is hoping the Wolves players can begin to replicate their home form away from Molineux when the team travels to face Brentford tomorrow evening.

Wolves are searching for their first win on the road since October when they make their first trip of two trips to Brentford in 10 days on Wednesday, but Spanish forward Sarabia – who set up Mario Lemina for Wolves’ opener in the Christmas Eve win over Chelsea – believes the team will be giving their all to fight for the three points.

On heading to Brentford

“We know it’s going to be a very difficult match there because they play very well at home, and playing away in the Premier League, every match is very difficult.

“But we will try to show our idea and the intensity to try and get the three points against Brentford.”

On away form

“It’s normal that we feel better in front of our home supporters, and playing in your own stadium is more comfortable, but I think we have to be more focused when we are playing away because it’s important for us to get as many three points as possible.

“We managed to win away at Everton, for example, and we had to fight a lot that day. We can lose or we can win, but we always have to compete at the same level whether we are playing away or at home.”

On his recent performances

“It’s been very good and I’m proud that I’ve been able to achieve that, because it’s very important for me that I can help the team, whether that is with assists or by scoring goals.

“But I only think about the team and all I want to do is help the team to win points.”

On spending Christmas Day with his family

“It was a very busy Christmas, our first as a family with my wife and two children, and my sister and her children also came over to celebrate with us, so it was an amazing time for us.”
