Life Before Wolves | Jonny Otto

A Spanish international with a wealth of La Liga experience in his locker, Jonny Otto is now expanding his footballing knowledge in the Premier League.

The popular wing-back progressed through the Celta Vigo system and made more than 200 appearances before making his Molineux move permanent in January, with plenty of fond memories in the bank.

THE CELTA EXPERIENCE

Celta Vigo | 2011-2019

They are very good memories at Celta Vigo! It was the club in which I debuted and in which I spent 14 years of my life. I am very happy to have been part of Celta, it is the club of my city, the club of my heart and I am very happy to have played in Celta. At Celta I felt valued, but maybe I didn’t feel as valued by the fans. I will always owe the club a lot, it is the club of where I was born, of my city and I was happy there.

CELTA DEBUT

Celta Vigo 2 Osasuna 0 | Saturday 1st September 2012

My debut is a match I'll always remember, it was my official debut in Balaídos Stadium in front of my people. My debut as a professional player, I think it's a memory I'll always remember.

A GOAL SCORER

Cadiz 0 Celta Vigo 3 | Thursday 7th January 2016

The truth is that it is something that is always remembered. I do not usually score goals and I remember them all, but against Cadiz if I remember, it was a shot that bounced off a defender and ended in a goal.

INTERNATIONAL HONOURS

European Under-19 Championships | July 2012

At the moment it's the only trophy I have. I am very happy to have lived that stage of my life, they were very nice moments with players that nowadays are at big clubs, I think there was a great group. It's a good memory, but you have to keep looking forward.

COMPETITIVE SPAIN BOW

Spain 2 England 3 | Monday 15th October 2018

Spain are a team that want to have more of the ball, England have a lot of great players and make up a very good team, they move forward very well on the counter attack. They made the most of every one of their chances, they played a very solid game, and played very vertically with their options up front and we weren’t so lucky with the accuracy in our passes that Spain would be in other games. I think that both Spain and England are two of the best national teams at the moment.
