The two sides are currently separated by just a single point in the league standings, with Wolves one position better off in seventh place.
However, the head coach says the only way his players should be preparing for tomorrow’s match at Vicarage Road is to focus on their tasks, rather than the league table.
On Premier League targets
“Our aim is not any particular position; our aim is to go to the end of the season on a high. This way we can prepare our future better.
“We never think about that. Our aim is to play and compete, in three games everybody is going to be on zero points. We have to go game by game and don’t think about anything else, new game, new challenge, do your tasks, your obligations, your responsibilities and your pleasure to play a fantastic game.
“There are three games to go, nine points to go, a lot of teams close to each other – the table doesn’t mean anything. In the end we will see how important this game is or not.”
On Watford preparations
“We’ll prepare like we do always, we look at the strengths, the weaknesses, we think about ourselves, prepare ourselves well. They are a good team, we know we’re going to face a tough challenge, it’s always the same.
“They are a tough, well-organised team. They have good players, a good manager. We know we have to be ready for it. Some players are in good form and they have had good results, so it will be a tough game.
“Every game is huge. We understand the outside expectations, but it’s not what we think of. Tomorrow we’re going to face a very tough team, especially at home they are strong, and we want to compete. Let’s prepare ourselves to compete – the players are ready.”
On Troy Deeney’s absence
“They have a lot of options, very good players who will be available. They are good options who will give different things to Troy. They have a fantastic squad so will find another good option.”
On ‘best 45 minutes’ against Arsenal
“It’s tough to judge. We didn’t start well, Arsenal caused us a lot of problem, until the moment we settled down and were able to play. We had the moment from Ruben, that put us on the front foot, so not everything was perfect in the first half.”
