Wolves boast an unbeaten record in their previous eight Molineux fixtures in all competitions, winning seven with the backing of their home support. Looking to bounce back from defeats to Watford and Southampton, Nuno feels Wolves’ return home is a timely one.
On being back at Molineux
“Playing at Molineux is always a pleasure for us, it’s fantastic. The fans are exceptional. They are amazing with the support they give to the team and they are always filling Molineux, all the games.
“Molineux has been outstanding for us, our home record. Home factor in the competition is so, so important and we want to continue with that.
"They are always backing up the team, the atmosphere is fantastic so let’s try tomorrow to have this same feeling of togetherness, because that will make us stronger. This is what we want, to compete all together.
“All the games are the most important one because it’s the one we play next, with everybody’s focus, us and Brighton. It’s a tough challenge for both teams.”
On the week in Spain
“We had a good week of training sessions, preparing for the game and at the same time having social time together. It was nothing to do with tiredness, it was planned and benefits the squad.
“Now, the most important thing is for us to perform well, playing good football, this is the main thing that we want to achieve. A good performance in front of our fans.”
On the challenge of Brighton
“It was a tough match a long time ago (the last Brighton game). It was in the first round. We’re going to face a difficult team with good players, they have their own idea, so we expect a tough challenge.
“It’s all about us, we are back in Molineux, we want to perform well in front of our fans who are going to be behind the team.”
On the social media blackout
“It’s a problem with society (racism). If we in football, who have so many followers on social media, can create an impact on this problem, I’m totally supportive of it, on behalf of the players.”
