The youngster came off the bench and headed home seven minutes from time to ensure the points were shared in an entertaining clash at Molineux.
Buur has spent the season impressing for Scott Sellars’ Under-23s side and Nuno was delighted the substitution was rewarded with a vital point.
“This is the philosophy we want. We have the Under-23s, we look at them. They work with us for a lot of the training sessions and when it’s required they are there for us to use them,” he said.
“It was good for him, he helped the team and tomorrow he’s going back to the Under-23s to keep on going. We want to improve them.”
Although acknowledging Friday’s efforts took it out of his players, Nuno wants to see improved decision making than what he saw against the Tigers at Molineux on Tuesday evening.
“The kind of game on Friday, of course there are aspects we noticed today, being with nine men for so much time.
“The players worked very hard but I don’t think physically we suffered too much, but it was the rush and decision making when it was required has to do with tiredness some players have at this moment.
“The team rushed some moments. Playing at home, sometimes our fans want us to go, but if there is little space it requires a bit more possession and I think we should do that.”
Although it wasn’t Wolves’ most free-flowing performance of the campaign, Buur rescued a point seven minutes from time and the character once again pleased Nuno.
“It wasn’t a good performance or result. Some moments were good, some not so good. I think we started the game well, dominating and creating chances.
“The goal came at a good moment we had. Then we didn’t react good to the penalty so the half-time was good for us to settle down.
“The character is always there, the last game was proof of character and then again when we were going for a draw in the final minutes, and had chances to win it.
“That’s what we want, to never give up, but today wasn’t a very good performance and we have to take a look at it.”
There is little time to dwell on the draw however, with an important fixture with Cardiff City on the agenda, and Nuno will quickly prepare his side for Friday.
“This is the hardest competition in the world, the Championship is like this. We have two days and then go to face Cardiff, now it’s time to rest and look, and we go there to compete,” he added.
