Douglas scored the first of Wolves’ four goals at Molineux from a superb free kick.
The left wing back reveals that free kick are something that he practices in training - he was delighted to see his effort find the back of the net.
Douglas began, “Thankfully I’ve got one - I practice in training but we’ve actually not had many this season but I got one and it hit the back of the net.
“It was a wee bit wider than I normally practice in training but anywhere about that area I feel confident - it’s just nice to finally get one and hit the back of the net.”
Douglas returned to the Wolves side following serving a one game suspension for the trip to Reading last Saturday.
The 28 year old says he has sympathy for Ruben Vinagre, who he replaced, however admits that everyone will be needed to contribute throughout the season.
“It goes the strength in depth in the squad that we’ve got guys who can come in and do well,” Douglas continued.
“Last week the boys were brilliant and got the result, it’s just unfortunate for Ruben (Vinagre) that I’ve come back into the side.
“It’s about the team at the end of the day, it’s a long season and we need everyone to chip in.
“It’s going well but I can’t get ahead of myself - it’s going to be a long season and it’s nice to contribute but as long as we’re getting the wins, that’s all that matters.
“From a personal point of view, it’s nice to be involved in goals and assists and long may it continue.
“It’s nice to bop in and take the pressure off the strikers and the forward guys.
“It doesn’t really matter who scores just as long as we get the win and keep progressing.
“They aren’t always going to be on form and scoring goals so it’s nice for other people to chip in and contribute - that just shows the quality we’ve got throughout the whole squad, we don’t rely on one or two people to pull us through.”
Wolves led 2-0 at half time against Leeds before the visitors pulled a goal back just after half time.
Leeds were then reduced to ten men as Ronaldo Viera received a second booking.
Douglas says that it can sometimes be more difficult playing against ten men, but felt that Wolves coped with it well.
“We didn’t let conceding a goal affect us, we just stuck to our game plan and got the ball down and played - we created chances and go the goals.
He said, “It’s sometimes difficult playing against one less man - other teams can come into the game more.
“We kept the ball, retained possession and I think they found it difficult to try and get out.
“It was important that we then went and punished them, and thankfully we did that.
“It’s a nice position to be in but we’re taking it one step at a time - we focus on the next game now and keep going.”
