Foundation join Tour De Midlands cycle challenge

Ready to get on your bike to support your local community?

Wolves Foundation are teaming up with other club foundations across the West Midlands for an exciting new ‘Tour De Midlands’ charity cycle event this summer.

The 40-mile route will take in the region’s professional football grounds – stopping off at Villa Park, St Andrews @ Knighthead Park, Molineux, the Hawthorns and the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium during the challenge.

The event, taking place on Sunday 7th June, will start and finish at the iconic Alexander Stadium – the largest athletics venue of its kind in the UK.

Fundraisers from Wolves Foundation will join others representing Aston Villa Foundation, Birmingham City Foundation, The Albion Foundation and Walsall FC Foundation, to put pedal to the metal in support of our club charity’s work across the local community.

Former players and ambassadors from across the five football clubs will be taking part to raise money for the cause, with the Wolves contingent to be revealed over the coming weeks.

“We are delighted to be launching the Tour De Midlands in partnership with our fellow Foundations from across the West Midlands,” said Laura Cahill, business development manager with Wolves Foundation.

“It is a really exciting new event which will not only bring fans of different clubs together but also help raise vital funds and awareness of the huge range of work which is delivered across the region.

“We are looking forward to putting the Wolves team together with a team of riders to represent the club and get the wheels turning for a fantastic day of celebration.”

Registration for the challenge is £35, including a unique Tour de Midlands t-shirt and medal, with participants encouraged to raise a minimum of £150 for Wolves Foundation.

The event is for adults (18+) only, and places are limited for each Foundation on a first-come first-serve basis – so sign up now before they’re gone!
