Wolves are at Molineux once more on Tuesday night, when Liverpool are in town, and wolves.co.uk presents the main talking points before the Premier League clash.
1 | Roll Call
Rob Edwards has the rare luxury of a fully fit squad for the visit of Liverpool on Tuesday night. That is because Hee Chan Hwang has returned from a calf strain and Ladislav Krejci has served his one-match ban following his red card at Crystal Palace. It means also that Andre, who hobbled off late in the day on Friday, is OK, likewise Toti who played 90 minutes on his return from injury. Wolves had six matches in February and face Liverpool twice in the space of four days, and Rob Edwards said he’d need to find the “right balance” when asking if he’d freshen up his side after Friday’s win over Aston Villa.
Arne Slot is expected to once again be without Florian Wirtz, with this game, and possibly even Friday’s cup tie, coming too soon for the German, who missed the last two games with a back issue. Elsewhere, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Wataru Endo are all out for the season and Alexander Isak is out with a long-term leg injury he picked up before Christmas.

3 | Journey to Tuesday
Friday’s win over neighbours Aston Villa felt a big one for Edwards and his group, who took the bragging rights at a lively Molineux. Joao Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes both scored in the second half, and the Old Gold have now lost just once of their last five matches. Prior to the 2-0 win over Villa, last time out at Molineux Wolves upset the league leaders with a comeback from two goals behind to draw with Arsenal. Wolves have steadily improved since the trip to Anfield after Christmas. In the calendar year of 2026, they are 14th in the Premier League, having picked up 10 points – signs of the Edwards impact at Molineux.
Liverpool arrive at Molineux in good form themselves, having won their previous four fixtures in all competitions. On Saturday they put five goals past relegation-threatened West Ham at Anfield. The previous week they left it late to take the spoils from a trip to Nottingham Forest. The win at Forest was the Reds’ second successive 1-0 win on the road, after a Virgil van Dijk goal earned a slender success at Sunderland. Slot’s side are sat fifth, three points behind Aston Villa in fourth.

4 | The Reds beaten at Mol
Wolves gave their survival hopes under Julen Lopetegui a boost in February 2023 with a resounding 3-0 win over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Molineux.
The Old Gold set the tone for a lively afternoon by breaking the deadlock after just five minutes, with Hee Chan Hwang’s cross being put into his own net by Joel Matip.
Craig Dawson, making his Wolves debut after signing from West Ham United, then rifled the second goal into the roof of the net, after Liverpool failed to clear their penalty area.
The visitors looked for a route back into the game after the break, but a classic Adama Traore counter attack set up the sealer for Ruben Neves, who calmly finished from close range in front of the South Bank.
