Friday's episode of Wolves Express hears from former defender Jody Craddock, director John Gough and the academy’s new head of football Christian Preußer.
Craddock and Gough were involved in the unveiling of a special tribute to Diogo Jota at Molineux recently, after the club's former captain-turned-artist created a pair of paintings in tribute to the Portuguese which have been installed in the Stan Cullis Stand reception.
Ahead of the FA Cup clash with Liverpool a fortnight ago, Craddock's artwork was unveiled by Gough in front of an intimate congregation of Wolves players and staff who gathered in the stadium to pay tribute to Diogo underneath the two pieces and a plaque explaining the story behind Craddock’s work.
At the event, Craddock spoke to Wolves Express about getting involved in creating the tribute, the process behind the paintings and how proud he was to be given the opportunity to create the artwork which will live inside Molineux.
Gough also chatted to the podcast as he explained how the memorial to Diogo came about, how the tribute at Molineux brought members of the club from across departments together to pay their respects, while also praising Craddock for creating such remarkable paintings.
The latest episode of the club's official quickfire podcast also includes a first chat with the academy's new head of coaching Preußer, the former head coach of Borussia Dortmund II, who has plenty of experience from his time in 2. Bundesliga with Fortuna Dusseldorf, and winning the third and fourth tier German titles with SC Freiburg II.
Preußer talks about how he can bring his experience to Wolves, creating an identity and a culture within the Old Gold's youth set-up, and how he enjoys working with young players from his time with Rot-Weiß Erfurt’s under-19s who he led to a youth championship.
Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
