Wolves Express | Season kick off with O'Neil, Lemina and Morphet

Wolves Express finishes the week by previewing the Premier League opener as Gary O'Neil and Mario Lemina look ahead to Saturday's visit to Arsenal.

Preparing for the first game of the new season away at the Emirates this weekend, the head coach is up first on Friday's episode as he reveals how the squad is fairing after a summer of new additions, Matheus Cunha's return to fitness, as well as the losses of Pedro Neto and Maximilian Kilman.

O'Neil also discusses the prospect of facing one of the team's favourite for the league title in their opening game of the campaign, what he expects from Mikel Arteta's side and what he wants from his own team.

Listeners can also hear from the captains of both men's and women's first-teams ahead of their seasons getting underway this weekend, with Mario Lemina revealing his pride in taking over the armband and what he hopes he can bring to the role and the increased responsibility he has inside the dressing room.

The midfielder also talks about feeling at home at Molineux, the visit to the Emirates and what O'Neil wants from his new skipper.

His Wolves Women counterpart, Anna Morphet, is also taking over the captaincy this season after the retirement of the legendary Anna Price this summer and she explains how much wearing the armband will mean to her.

Morphet also gives an update on the women's squad after several incomings and outgoings ahead of the new season, which begins at the SEAH Stadium in Telford against Stourbridge on Sunday.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
