Makenzie Bradbury admitted he was happy with Wolves’ performance and how they ‘trusted one another’ in Saturday's 4-1 away win over Nottingham Forest.
Wolves under-18s made it four wins from five in the U18 Premier League with a convincing victory at The Nigel Doughty Academy, and Bradbury spoke post-match about the team’s positive performance, his enjoyment captaining the side and what they can take into next Saturday’s game at home to Stoke City.
On the performance and victory
“I thought we were very good overall but I think in the first half in particular, the first 15 minutes we started quite strong then we lost momentum, obviously gave away a sloppy goal, but I think we can also be more clinical.
“It should have been four in the first half, but I also think in the second half we started well, kept the ball well, scored two more goals which is always good.
“I just think we kept going, kept driving, didn’t drop our heads and just kept doing what we do.
“We were better on the ball in the second half as well and I think we trusted one another.”
On the fast start and early goals
“I think we know how good we are going forward. I think we used our players well and did what we had to do.
“We’re very good at one v ones and linking up with each other so when it comes off we score goals, but also on another day we put four past them in the first half instead of two, we could have been more clinical.”
On captaining the team
“It’s always good to captain the team, to try and lead, talk a lot, organise and help the boys out, so it’s always good to do.
“I enjoy doing it because it helps the team out and obviously I can grow as a player doing it as well.”
Looking ahead to Stoke City and the positives to take
“The chances we created, I think we had 16 shots on target so I think that’s obviously good.
“Hopefully we can be more clinical and create the same chances because I think on a different day we put them away and score more goals and kill the game in the first half.”
