Midfielder Layla Proctor joined the club in July 2026.

Following her departure from Plymouth Argyle last month, 21-year-old Proctor becomes Wolves' latest addition to the squad ahead of their debut WSL 2 campaign, which kicks off in September.

Having featured against the Old Gold in the FA Women's National League Play-Off in May for Argyle, Proctor is no stranger to her new teammates, with her performance in that fixture that catching the eye of manager Dan McNamara.

Born in the UK but raised in Australia, Proctor's journey to the West Midlands comes after a career to date that has seen her play both in England and overseas, having signed for SV Elversberg in Germany at the age of 16.

A move to Manchester United's Academy came in 2020, where she progressed through the age groups and dual-signed with fourth-tier Huddersfield Town to gain important first team exposure.

A move to the third-tier with South Coast side Lewes followed, making 23 appearances for the Rooks, before she became Argyle's first signing last summer under then-manager Marie Hourihan.
