Yerson Mosquera
Following two successful loan spells away, Yerson Mosquera rejoined Wolves' squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Colombian initially made the move to Molineux in the summer of 2021, joining from Atletico Nacional on a five-year-deal, but injury restricted the defender to just one solitary first-team appearance during his debut year at Molineux – a Carabao Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux.
The defender arrived at Wolves having made his professional debut in 2020, where he quickly became a breakout star in the Colombian top-flight. During his first full season at the Medellin-based club, the right footed centre-back helped his team to top the league standings, while playing regularly in the backline as part of Nacional’s Copa Libertadores campaign.
Following his debut injury, Mosquera returned to fitness while on loan at MLS side FC Cincinnati, where he played regularly and guided Cincinnati to the Eastern Conference title, before earning his senior international debut.
He then spent six months impressing in La Liga with Villarreal, before returning to Molineux to compete for a place in the first-team - however in just his fifth Premier League outing, Mosquera suffered a serious knee injury which put him out of action for 12 months.

As a youth international, Yerson Mosquera represented Colombia’s under-18s and under-20s, and stepped into the senior group in 2023.
He made his senior Colombia debut in a World Cup qualifying match with October 2023 and then made his first start a matter of days later away at Ecuador.
Aged just 23, the defender will hope more game time at Wolves present more opportunities to represent his country.
