Biography

Hugo Bueno

Spanish left-back Hugo Bueno joined Wolves as an academy scholar in 2019 and is now an established member of the first-team group.

Since returning from a positive loan at Feyenoord in the 2024/25 season, Bueno has established himself as a regular on the left of the defence, while regularly assisting attacks at the same time.

Following his arrival, Bueno quickly made an impression within the academy, quickly stepping up from under-18s to under-21s and by the 2022/23 campaign he was transitioning into the first-team group.

An assist on his full debut away at Crystal Palace in October 2022 saw Bueno step up, and he’s been in and around the first-team since, regularly playing during the remainer of that first season.

A first senior goal arrived against Coventry City in the FA Cup, before the youngster spent the 2024/25 on loan Feyenoord, experiencing the Champions League for the first time.

Following the departure of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Bueno made the left-back slot his own and a stunning strike against Arsenal won the 2025/26 Goal of the Season award.
