Wolves Women end of season awards winners

Georgia Marshall and Amber Hughes’ impressive seasons at opposite ends of the pitch in gold and black have seen the duo win Wolves’ 2025/26 Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season awards.

There were also prizes for Abbi Jenner and Louanne Worsey given out yesterday, after the final home game of the season and ahead of the FA WNL promotion play-off on Monday 4th May.

Taking part in a vote via the Wolves App and wolves.co.uk, supporters chose Marshall as their Player of the Season following an incredible campaign for the 23-year-old in her debut season for the club. She scored six goals in the league and was a solid force in Wolves’ backline.

For Players’ Player of the Season, Hughes received the accolades from her teammates after the forward found the back of the net 21 times in 28 league appearances during the 2025/26 season, missing out on the golden boot by one goal.

Hughes slotted in her 100th goal for the club with a rocket from the edge of the box as Wolves soared to a 2-1 victory over Stoke City and was given the award by Wolves Women legend Anna Price.

Supporters also had the chance to vote for the Goal of the Season award, and although Hughes was the top goalscorer in the side, it was Jenner who claimed the prize after her wonder strike in a 4-1 home victory over Sporting Khalsa.

Jenner stepped over the halfway line before hitting a thunderous effort past Poppy Irvine. She was stunned when she hit the strike, but there was no surprise in her receiving this award from Wolves Women chair Jenny Wilkes.

The PFA and Wolves Foundation Community Player of the Year award were also awarded and Louanne Worsey received the honours. The 20-year-old forward registered 10 goals in 30 league appearances for the club in her first season in gold and back.

Wolves Women are just one game away from the WSL 2 as they take on the second placed Southern Premier Division side at the Pirelli Stadium, home of Burton Albion on Monday 4th May at 1pm. Match tickets and subsidised coach travel are now on sale.
