Wolves Women return to the SEAH Stadium on Sunday afternoon following a two week international break as they begin their Subway Players Cup campaign against fellow WSL 2 side Ipswich Town.
This will be Wolves' first ever fixture in the new look competition, which sees every side in WSL and WSL 2 compete in a Swiss style league stage before the knockout rounds. In Subway Players Cup matches, if the game finish level after 90 minutes, a penalty shoot-out will then take place to decide who claims an extra point.
The Opposition
Ipswich were recent league opposition for the Old Gold in WSL 2, with the Suffolk side running out 3-1 winners in Colchester despite Amber Hughes' opener. Since then they have also recorded a 2-1 win away at Sheffield United and sit third in the league, unbeaten after five matches.
