Wolves Women pair Amber Hughes and Amy Sims have both been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 September Goal of the Month award following their stunning strikes against Sheffield United.
Nominated alongside four other efforts from across the league, the voting is now open and will close at 10am on Monday, 5th October.
Hughes' effort was Wolves' first ever in the Barclays WSL 2 as she picked up a loose ball on the edge of the area to fire into the top corner, sparking jubilant scenes at the SEAH Stadium. Less than 15 minutes later, Sims after Sheffield United blocked two efforts from Hollie Olding and Mel Filis, hitting a first time dipping effort past the keeper just under the cross bar.
