Andre said he could feel “good vibes” between the players and supporters at Molineux on Friday evening, which will be crucial this coming season.
Wolves began the new campaign with a Carabao Cup victory over Port Vale and Molineux was a positive place to be, celebrating three goals, the return of Raul Jimenez and, most importantly, a first victory of the season.
It’s back there on Friday where the Championship season begins against Blackburn Rovers and, having contributed to the Port Vale win with his first goal of the season, Andre now wants that momentum carrying into the league opener.
On a winning start in the cup
“I enjoyed it a lot. We worked hard in pre-season and all the players deserved this first official win. The pre-season was so good, in the friendly games, and now we’ve shown it to every supporter. We need to keep pushing and working.
“It was very important to win the first game – it was an important game in the Carabao Cup. Always it’s good to win, but now we’ve got a difficult game on Friday, we need to keep concentrating and train more. We need to improve some things make a win again.”
On being off the mark with a goal
“I’m so happy, so happy. It’s always good to score goals. Normally I don’t score goals, but I was so happy to help my teammates. I’m here to work for my teammates.
“Now, the new coach puts me there to make some blocks, and I was there in the right place. I did maybe seven celebrations because I was so happy.”
"I think the pre-season has been good with the friendly games and now we can show that to every supporter. We need to keep pushing and continue working."

On taking the momentum into Blackburn
“I feel good vibes from the players with the supporters. The supporters this season will be so important for us, so we need to keep continuing together and win a lot of games here at Molineux.”
