New dates for West Brom and Blues derbies

Wolves’ derby fixtures against West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City in September are among four matches which have been moved for live TV broadcast.

With the Old Gold’s first game back in the EFL Championship against Blackburn Rovers at Molineux (Friday 14th August, 8pm) already chosen by Sky Sports, the broadcaster has now added another four Wolves fixtures during August and September to be shown live in the UK.

The previous week Wolves kick off their season against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup first round and that cup tie will take place on Friday 7th August, 7.45pm kick-off, and broadcast live on Sky Sports+.

The first of the latest Championship kick-off changes – all coming on consecutive weekends – is Wolves’ second home game of the season against Stoke City, which will still take place on Saturday 29th August, but has been moved to the earlier kick-off time of 12.30pm, with the game set to be broadcast live on Sky Sports+.

After a visit to West Ham United on the Tuesday evening, Wolves will now head to St Andrews to face Birmingham on Sunday 6th September for a 12pm kick-off, with that game live on Sky Sports Football.

As a result, the Old Gold's Molineux clash with Portsmouth, originally scheduled for Tuesday 8th September, will now be moved to Wednesday 9th September, kick-off 7.45pm. However, that match is subject to Carabao Cup round three scheduling and could still move to the following week.

Two more weekend fixtures are set to be moved to Sunday lunchtime and shown live on Sky Sports Football, including the away trip to Sheffield United – now Sunday 13th September, 12pm – and the first Black Country derby of 2026/27.

Molineux will host its first league meeting between Wolves and West Brom since January 2021 on Sunday 20th September, in a 12pm kick-off.

The rest of Wolves’ fixtures across August and September, including an away game against Preston North End on Saturday 22nd August and the visit to West Ham, will remain as previously scheduled.
