We don't think about Huddersfield defeat, says Neves

Ruben Neves believes Wolves have shown they are a great team after being able to bounce back from “one of our worst games” in the defeat to Huddersfield Town at Molineux earlier in the season.

This evening will see Wolves and The Terriers, whose defeat of tonight’s visitors was one of only two wins they have in the Premier League this season, lock horns once again, but this time at the John Smith’s Stadium.

On Huddersfield challenge

“We will play as we want to play, with our identity. Trying to play well, trying to be organised and do what we do every game.

“We will try to achieve the three points, but mainly play good, because if we play good, if we are in shape, if we are organised, we are closer to getting the three points and come home with another win.

“Every game we don’t win is really disappointing. But I think that Huddersfield game at home was one of our worst games.

“We were in a bad moment, in that month, but the big teams are not the ones that win every game, we have to know that something is wrong, and you have to bounce back. We did it, and we did it well.

“We don’t think about that game now. We are in good form and we want to keep on going, winning games and achieve the maximum points as we can.”

On changing the midfield system

“We had to find the solutions because we were not on our best form in that moment, and the great teams are the ones that can bounce back from those moments.

“With the help of the coach and all the staff, with the capacity of all the players to be focused and to not have doubts about our game, fortunately we could bounce back from that moment and now we are good, and we are confident.”

On reaching 40 points

“It’s a good achievement for us, we are proud of it. But we still have to work, there are still a lot of games to play and we don’t want to stop on 40 points.

“We want to look forward and want to achieve the maximum points we can. We don’t have points target. We only think game-by-game and we always wants to win each game.

“I think that will make the difference in our team because we want to win every game, it doesn’t matter the opponent, the stadium, we always want to be us and to play like we want to play, and, if we can, win every game.”
