Neves And Jota On "Unbelievable Feeling"

Portuguese duo Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota revelled in the first title of each of their fledgling careers on Saturday.

Both summer signings, the pair have been a revelation in gold and black, with both playing crucial and eye-catching roles in Wolves' march to the Championship title, which they celebrated after Saturday's final home game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday.

Jota, the team's top scorer this campaign, said that Saturday's celebrations fulfilled a season-long dream.

"It's an unbelievable feeling," he said. "It's my first title, so it's very special. You never know whether or not it's going to be your last, so I have to enjoy it.

"Of course we would have wanted to win against Sheffield Wednesday rather than draw, but in a long season like this you can't win every game. We want to enjoy the moment - we are champions.
"We dreamt of winning the title but the Championship is one of the hardest leagues in the world. We had that dream and we knew it could happen, and now fortunately it has happened and we are very happy."

Neves, whose contribution to the league win has been nothing short of spectacular, agreed with his compatriot.

"We dreamt of this since the start of the season and now we can enjoy it," he said. "It's been a great season for us, and we were able to achieve our goals. We worked hard from the beginning of the season and we deserve this.

"It's my first title as well, and I'll never forget this moment. It's brilliant to be able to enjoy it with our families and our fantastic fans."

After spending this season on-loan at Wolves, Jota's move from Atletico Madrid will be made permanent in the summer, and the 21 year-old is determined to carry on making an impression at Molineux.

"I'm happy to be here and I want to stay," he added. "Now it's time to celebrate and enjoy the moment, but next season we will fight again."
