Molineux will host England under-21s football for the first time in six years this coming September.
The Young Lions will resume their UEFA U21 EURO qualifying campaign on Friday 25th September, 7.30pm kick-off, when they host Kazakhstan in the West Midlands.
The fixture will be the ninth time England’s under-21s have played at Molineux, with the latest a triple-header in the autumn of 2020, which produced victories over Turkey, Andorra and Albania
The first of the other five took place in 1976 – a goalless draw with Wales – while in 2014 now Three Lions captain Harry Kane was on target in a win over Croatia.
Now, Lee Carsley’s side have made a strong start to their qualifying campaign, winning six of their seven games last season, as they aim to reach the 2027 U21 EURO finals in Albania and Serbia.
With just three games to go in qualifying, England are currently three points clear of Slovakia at the top of their group. A win in Wolverhampton will mean a chance of sealing qualification with a victory in October with a game to spare, when Slovakia visit England.
