Wolves re-signed legendary striker Raul Jimenez in summer 2026, bringing one of the most iconic players in the club’s modern history back to Molineux ahead of the club's 150th anniversary season.
The Mexican returned to Wolves on a two-year deal with an option for an additional 12 months, having already secured his place among the best forwards to represent the Old Gold in history, and the greatest in the club’s Premier League era.
During his first spell in gold and black between 2018 and 2023, Jimenez scored 57 goals in 166 appearances, helping transform Wolves from a newly-promoted outfit into one of English football’s most feared teams.
Signed initially on loan from Benfica following promotion into the Premier League, Jimenez quickly became the focal point of Nuno Espirito Santo’s thrilling side.
His goals fired Wolves to a seventh-place Premier League finish in his debut season in England, before an even more remarkable campaign followed in 2019/20. That term, the Old Gold’s number nine scored 27 goals in all competitions as Wolves reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League and challenged for Champions League qualification.
But Jimenez’s influence on the club extended far beyond goals. His resilience following the serious head injury he suffered against Arsenal in 2020 and the determination he showed to battle back to his best, only strengthened the admiration fans held for him.
Jimenez was the focal point of the Wolves side which competed fearlessly against England’s elite, and was at the forefront of the most memorable performances, while his love for Wolverhampton and the city forged an extraordinary connection with supporters.
Aafter three productive seasons in the capital with Fulham, Jimenez returned to the club where he became a Premier League star, and was reunited with his beloved number nine shirt.
