Olivia Francis signs for Wolves Women

Welsh international forward Olivia Francis has become Wolves Women’s tenth summer acquisition.

The 20-year-old moves to the West Midlands following her departure from Plymouth Argyle, for whom she faced the Old Gold in the third-tier play-off final in May at Burton Albion.

Francis’ journey to the West Midlands began in her native Wales with Pontypridd FC before she was signed by Manchester United, joining their PGA side and dual registering with third-tier side Liverpool Feds.

Francis had a successful year in Devon, registering ten goals in 33 appearances for the Pilgrims, who finished second in the FA WNL Southern Premier Division.

Part of the Wales international setup since the age of 13, Francis received her first of six senior call-ups in November 2025.

Head of Women and Girls, Russ Fraser said:  “Olivia is someone the club had been tracking for a while and following her performance in the play-off final against us for Plymouth was a player Macca had identified as a target for us this summer. She is a pacy winger who we feel will play a key role in unlocking and stretching defences this season and will add an extra dimension to the style of football we are looking to display.”
