Wolves' 2026/27 begins on Friday evening, meaning there's just a few days remaining for Cesar Peixoto's squad to put the finishing touches to their new season preparations.
Following a positive pre-season which has seen the head coach drill his style of play into the Old Gold squad, the players have been continuing their work on the training pitches this week ahead of the visit of Port Vale to Molineux for a Carabao Cup first round tie.
With all of the players who were involved in this summer's World Cup now back at Compton Park, including David Moller Wolfe who returned on Monday to complete testing and individual work in the gym, while Sam Johnstone was back on the grass this week as he works his way back to fitness following shoulder surgery, it is all systems go to get the season off to the best possible start.
