We’re Prepared

Kortney Hause says he would love to replicate last season’s FA Cup heroics as Wolves host Swansea City at Molineux (3pm).

Wolves beat Premier League opposition in Stoke City at this stage of the competition last season and went on to beat Liverpool in the next round at Anfield.

Hause, who has spent the majority of this season on the touchline , says Wolves are expecting a tough game but he realises that it will  be a tough test.

He said, “Last year we did well, we beat Stoke, Liverpool and came close to beating Chelsea.

“We did very well and we want to do it again this season if we can.

“It’s going to be a tough game like every game is but the boys and myself are ready and prepared for the game.

“We’ve been training hard, although I’m not playing at the minute, you never know when you’re going to be called upon so you just have to be ready.

“When you do get your chance, you come in and hit the ground running - take your chance and take your opportunity.”

Hause began pre season with an injury which kept him out until a couple of months into the season.

The 22 year old featured for the first time in the Sky Bet Championship as a substitute during Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Brentford at Molineux.

He says it was good to be back on the pitch but admits that it has been tough to be on the sidelines for an extended period of time.

"It was a good time for me because it’s been so long since I’ve played at the Molineux in front of the fans especially when the team’s doing so well,” Hause said.

“It’s a big turn out every week so to come on even though it wasn’t very long, it’s still a good feeling coming on and playing in front of the fans at Molineux.

“In football wether you’re playing or injured, you’re always going to learn.

“Even when I was injured, I was watching training whenever I could - seeing how the players play and seeing how the team was playing.

“Even when I git back fit, I’d still get to every home game to watch and to learn.

“In terms of learning about myself, it’s been quite hard mentally so at the end of the day it’s made me stronger for the future.”
